“Tech CEOs, say you will not build a Muslim registry”
After the Berlin terrorist attack in December, President-elect Donald Trump repeated his intention to build a Muslim registry. Previously, a Trump surrogate pointed to a precedent: the U.S. internment camps that jailed more than 120,000 innocent Japanese Americans, including families from the Bay Area‚ based solely on their ethnicity. Though Trump and his team say they don’t advocate internment camps, they’ve refused to disavow them, citing the need for national security. It’s on their minds, and should be on our minds, too.
We can’t let this happen again. Tech CEOs need to clearly state that they refuse to build a Muslim registry.
